They say I’m paranoid for not trusting white people as a group.

dumbthingswhitepplsay:

I live based on my experiences, based on what I know could happen to me if I do trust you, and what’s happened to me when I did trust you, and what I see you do to me and my people the moment you feel we’re not pleasing you anymore.

If you want me to treat you differently?

BE DIFFERENT.

You’re the only ones with the luxury of treating everyone equally until they do something.

Tonight I was hit with a hand full of eggs and huge rock on my back and called “Nigger” by a white guy in the backseat of a dark blue truck as I was riding my bike on Westheimer and Jeanetta. They drove too fast for me to get the license plate number. I had to get a cop to drive me home. This night makes me wonder how blacks did it back in the day, and why the community is looking the way it is now. I am trying not to cry, but I am in physical pain from the rock and not understanding why I deserved this.

uugh

::hugs::: I’m so sorry sis.

Next person to tell me racism doesn’t exist gets a foot in their ass..

Teaching white people about racism..

is like teaching a contractor about bricks and cement.

alexjibb asked: I don't claim to be all knowing and I doubt I'd get mad. I'm genuinely interested as to why you thought that

well since you put it that way, in the eyes of black people (specifically educated ones) racism only exists one way: white racism. Reasons? ..because whites created racism..no, whites didn’t create insults and bullying, and taunting based on race..they took it a step further, and created a system used to keep a race of people at a clear disadvantage that now acts indirectly in present day, but still effective. ..but I’m not expecting you to accept that or understand where I am coming from, for you never will..

lovistic asked: Haaaapppyyy Biiiirthday <3 ENJOY

thank you, and I did

alexjibb asked: My point was if you changed the word white for another race a lot of people would probably say the post was racist, that was it. Why does that make you think I'm a fool who is not informed?

..because you ARE misinformed. I’m pretty sure if I told you why, what, and how, you would probably either get mad or say it doesn’t make sense like all other “all knowing” white people.

Japan isn’t exactly a country of diversity. Nearly 99% of it’s population are “ethnic Japanese” (according to Wikipedia). So given this statistic, whenever I see anime characters who are not fully Japanese and/or with brown skin and are positive role models*, I get a bit excited. Here are a few characters I could remember from either anime/manga I have watched/read or heard of.
For a more comprehensive list, visit the Color World website for “Dark-Skinned… Characters in Anime.” I came across the list a few years past and was amazed at its depth.
And now I sit back and wait for people to ask why Sailor Pluto is up there.
*I read somewhere that Iris (Pokemon: B&W), a brown-skinned girl, is from the jungle and likes to swing on vines. >.<

Yep. And Aloe -san’s nickname is “natural born mama”. Her apron is shopped out of the us airing of bw, I’ve also heard her skin is lightened.
lol now let’s go back and count how many of these aren’t insulting depictions as well as how many are main characters

like how only the brown skinned characters have lips compared to all the others who just have “lines”..
